Teenage Rocker Ray unleashes his songwriting career and scores a No1 hit - not in Australia but in Switzerland. And wait for it, a surf instrument, titled "Reef Ride", it held No1 position for six straight weeks. He also wrote an instrumental "The Galloping Comedians" which was picked up by Saturday afternoon horse racing programs on TV where it was played so much that Ray was run over by radio and TV producers to write theme songs which he declined at the time.
